Bar Centrale opened in theTown Square of Carini, Italy in 1959, by Pietro Evola, Cesare Evola’s father. In 1961 Lido Azzurro opened, seating 800 patrons in a casual and yet formal atmosphere, specializing in wedding receptions and parties of all kinds. It was there that Cesare Evola entered the restaurant business (at the ripe old age of 9). His first job was to sit by the kitchen door and record all the food and beverages coming out of the kitchen and tally the tickets (This of course being pre-computer age and automated ticketing). At the age of 10 he began helping his father make pizzas. In 1979 Cesare came to the United States for a “vacation” and has yet to return. He started locally in the Restaurant Business and has to date owned and operated 10 Restaurants. Through the successes and failures and a multitude of trials and tribulations he opened Cesare’s Restaurant in 1991, Antonio’s in 1998. He attributes the success of these two Restaurants to the work ethic instilled in him by his father; Pietro, and the continual hard work and dedication of his family each and every day. Cesare’s and Antonio’s are family Restaurants with all members of the family contributing in different ways. “We view these Restaurants as extensions of our home.” We offer personal service ,not franchise service ; but we have many of the amenities you typically see with franchises".
